Mental wellbeing is a basic human right. It is the foundation of a healthy society and a healthy economy.
According to WHO, approximately 450,000,000 people, worldwide, suffer from mental and behavioural disorders. There are 45.000 such sufferers in Armenia. But this number only reflects inpatient figures, those who have been diagnosed and referred to a psychiatric hospital. According to some specialists the number of people with borderline conditions has reached 620,000 in Armenia.
